Artist Statement
Visual Optimism
I am always bombarded by tons of visual interest.
It's just that what I see as fascinating doesn't even register with most people.
So I would like my work to encourage everyone to stop, take another look;
and see through a lens of stillness, imagination, and mystery.
My paintings are a manifestation of this way of thinking, seeing, wondering, and
exploring.
I use an intuitive, transformative technique. Feeling my way through, I
manipulate the shapes,
the color values, and the sweetness of the curving lines, until harmony happens.
Life is a joyous celebration.
I celebrate color as a glorification of life.
My vision is that vibrant, joyous potential thrives in everybody, everything,
and every situation.
My current work is acrylic on canvas.
