Artist Statement

Visual Optimism

I am always bombarded by tons of visual interest.
It's just that what I see as fascinating doesn't even register with most people.
So I would like my work to encourage everyone to take another look;
 and to see through a lens of imagination, fun and mystery;
and to revel in all the wonderful details…..dive in!

My paintings are a manifestation of this way of thinking, seeing, wondering, and exploring.
I use an intuitive, transformative technique.  Feeling my way through, I manipulate the shapes,
the color values, and the sweetness of the curves, until it all just flows.

Life is a joyous celebration.
I celebrate color as a glorification of life.
My vision is that vibrant, joyous potential thrives in everybody, everything, and every situation.
It can, like my paintings, just take some time to discover the full potential.
My current work is acrylic on canvas.
