This is a very early painting for me, inspired by an old black and white postcard I found inside a wall that was being renovated.
All of the text was in German, and all I could make out was 'Heidelburg'. I fell in love with the mysterious spaces created by the arches, and the ivy that was taking over the building. Further research let me beleive this is a building that was on the campus of the University in Heidelburt, Germany, and it was called 'The Hall of Mirrors'.
